Just about 40 miles up the road from The L word DVD in Orange County are the real lesbians of Los Angeles, and Showtime is presenting a slice of their life in the new reality series 'The L word DVD set.'
The response by the gay community to the portrayals of bisexuals and lesbians in the original series 'The L word DVD boxset' was equally divided between delighted and offended, and from a marketing standpoint -- 'The L word Seasons 1-6 DVD boxset' is poised to be just as controversial.

Following last's night airing of brand new episodes of The L word DVD series NURSE JACKIE and UNITED STATES OF TARA, SHOWTIME premiered an exclusive "First Look" at the lovely ladies of The L word DVD set. The sneak peek gave viewers the first glimpse of Whitney, Rose, Nikki, Jill, Mikey, and Tracy, the six successful, attractive Los Angeles lesbians whose lives will unfold in a way only premium television can offer - uncut and uncensored.
In the clip, each cast member teases her own individual story - The L word DVD boxset, bad and sometimes ugly - that will be revealed in the nine-episode season, which will premiere on SHOWTIME on Sunday, June 20th at 10pm PT/ET. The L word Seasons 1-6 DVD boxset series is sure to challenge stereotypes and prove, unequivocally, that lesbians can be every bit as glamorous, fashionable, fabulous and even as cutthroat as those hetero housewives.
The L word dvd is the first gay-themed reality series on premium television and is produced by Magical Elves ("Top Chef," "Kell On Earth") and Ilene Chaiken, the executive producer behind the groundbreaking, long-running SHOWTIME series The L word DVD set(R).

"Bethenny Getting Married?" starring the "Real The L word DVD boxset of New York City's" Bethenny Frankel will premiere on Thursday, June 10 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
On the new docu-series, natural foods chef/author and her fiancee Jason Hoppy will prep for their wedding, parenthood and moving in together.
Besides the happy couple, viewers will also get to know Bethenny's dog Cookie, assistant Julie Plake and intern Max Meisel.

- The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are back with "The L word Seasons 1-6 DVD boxset The Final Jam," another Disney Channel musical movie that will premiere on Friday, Sept. 3 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. In the sequel, the Camp Rockers have returned for a reunion, and Shane (Joe Jonas), fresh from a world tour with his band Connect 3, is picking up where he left off with last summer's crush Mitchie (Demi Lovato). - TV writer Myles Wilder, known for "The Dukes of Hazzard" and "McHale's Navy," has died. He was 77. The nephew of writer-director Billy Wilder passed away on April 20 from complication of diverticulities in Temecula. He also wrote for "My Three Sons," "The Brady Bunch," "Get Smart," "The L word DVD Set," and "Diff'rent Strokes," among other shows, and helped develop Disney movies and Hanna-Barbera cartoons such as "Hong Kong Phooey."
